Job summary

Wieland Group is seeking a Quality Manager for Verona, VA, to proactively plan and manage quality standards, root cause analysis, and supplier quality. This onsite role leads ASME and AWS compliance and collaborates with engineering to ensure continuous improvement across fabrication and production.

The position includes oversight of quality records, reports, and audits, with a base salary range and potential bonus based on company performance within the fiscal year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• 3+ years of experience with quality systems, audits, and procedures.
• 5+ years in industrial fabrication/manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ASME and AWS codes.
• Ability to read weld symbols and engineering blueprints.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and ERP software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ASME weld procedures and train personnel in QC measurements, weld procedures, materials traceability and required ASME documentation.
• Monitor ASME code compliance for procedures to ensure company, customer, and code specifications are met.
• Inspect welded sub-assemblies and assemblies at defined points in manufacturing for ASME hold points.
• Be the main point of contact for the Authorized Inspector (AI).
• Maintain quality records for the company and ASME documentation for welding staff.
• Collaborate with Engineering to review shop fabrication drawings before release to production.
• Manage reporting of metrics/KPIs and support quality improvement initiatives.
