Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a Quality Manager 2 to lead the QC inspection team on-site. The role partners with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Global Supply Chain to ensure quality is built into every requirement and product, while mentoring staff in quality methods.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, QMS knowledge (ISO 9001/AS9100), and collaboration skills, with experience in aerospace or defense inspections. A Secret clearance may be required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in Quality Control/Inspection/QA or Manufacturing; Master’s with 6 years; Associate with 10 years; or 12 years experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience (e.g., IPT leadership or direct-line).
• QMS experience (ISO 9001, AS9100).
• Experience with manufacturing, maintenance, or inspection assurance activities.
• Experience mentoring others in quality principles and practices.
• Experience leading continuous improvement activities.
• Ability to communicate concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain/maintain Secret Clearance.

Aufgaben

• Manage QC inspection teams by setting objectives and guiding direct reports.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Global Supply Chain to ensure quality in requirements, design, and end-products.
• Coach on the shop floor and mentor on quality methods and procedures.
• Use metrics and feedback to assess quality performance and drive improvements.
• Interface with customer representatives and on-site DCMA for inspections and decisions.
• Maintain compliance with QMS policies and processes to meet standards.
• Provide performance reviews and feedback to direct reports.
