Job summary

Our client in Dayton, OH is seeking a Quality Manager to own and advance its quality program, maintaining AS9100 and ISO 9001 registrations. You will work with engineering, production, and customer-facing teams to deliver reliable products built to specification.

You will drive root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, and track quality performance to support a growth-oriented roadmap. Leadership responsibilities include growing the quality team and championing a quality-first mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive quality management experience in manufacturing.
• 2+ years in a supervisory/leadership role.
• Hands-on experience managing a certified quality system (AS9100/ISO 9001).
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or related technical discipline is a plus.
• AS9100 or ISO internal/audit credentials are a plus.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality system requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own and advance the quality system for the organization.
• Plan, manage registrar activities: certification, surveillance, recertification, audits.
• Keep procedures, work instructions, forms, and records current.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 and customer terms.
• Lead management reviews and drive CAPA and improvement efforts.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Track quality performance, identify trends, and implement actions.
• Support new product introduction through design reviews and validation.
• Evaluate inspection, testing, and production methods for compliance.
• Manage nonconforming product, complaints, and returns.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to strengthen processes.
• Mentor and grow the quality team; set and enforce performance standards.
• Handle hiring, training, and performance reviews for quality staff.
• Promote a quality-first, customer-focused mindset across the organization.
• Report quality results and progress to executive leadership.
• Serve as point of contact for registrars, customers, suppliers, and regulators.
