Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior Quality leader to build and drive a high-performing team across metallic and polymeric additive manufacturing operations. You will champion AS9100 practices, guide audits, and push continuous improvement while partnering with Manufacturing, Design, and Supply Chain to embed quality at every stage of the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 12+ years of progressive quality engineering or quality management experience in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing environments.
• 7+ years of direct people management experience with demonstrated ability to develop high-performing teams.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management Systems and the ability to lead internal and external audits.

Responsibilities

• Create strategic quality initiatives in partnership with Operations to improve quality and first-time quality.
• Lead, mentor, develop, and manage a team of Quality Engineers and Specialists.
• Conduct performance reviews, set objectives, and identify development opportunities for reports.
• Champion adherence to AS9100 and lead internal audits across manufacturing.
• Develop and track quality metrics and KPIs; drive corrective actions for adverse trends.
• Support budget planning for Quality Assurance and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
