Job summary

The Marvin Group in Southern California near LAX is seeking a Quality Inspector III to join our aerospace and defense programs. You will perform dimensional inspections, verify drawings meet contractual requirements, and work with engineers and customers.

Reporting to the Manager of Quality Control, you will use CAI equipment, CMMs (Verisurf), surface plates, and other tools at the operator level, applying GD&T and performing dimensional analysis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a dimensional inspector.
• Minimum 3 years operating surface plates and CAI equipment (CMMs, Verisurf).
• Strong understanding of GD&T and practical application.
• Ability to read/interpret drawings and specifications with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in basic algebra and trigonometry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; proficient with Word/Excel.
• Able to work independently and in a diverse team.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent inspections to verify conformance with drawings and contractual requirements.
• Operate CAI equipment and CMMs at the operator level, using surface plate techniques.
• Apply GD&T principles including angularity, profile, runout, symmetry and true position.
• Communicate inspection results to engineers, customers, and management.
• Provide guidance to junior inspectors and support source inspections as needed.
