Job summary

The Marvin Group, based in Southern California near LAX, seeks a QC Inspector to perform thorough product inspections with GD&T knowledge. You will document results in SAP, ensure compliance with MEC requirements and contractual obligations, and collaborate across the quality team to maintain high product standards.

With a minimum of five years in QC inspection, you will review supplier and NDT documentation, generate inspection reports, and support receiving and in-process QC.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certified in GD&T or 3 years of GD&T inspection experience preferred.
• Five years minimum experience as a QC inspector.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent inspections, validations, and verifications of components to ensure compliance with MEC processes, procedures, and contractual obligations.
• Visual inspection of assemblies, soldering, and paint finishes per engineering requirements.
• Review NDT and supplier documentation per MEC Purchase Order.
• Generate inspection reports per MEC policy.
• Identify suspect non-conforming material and generate QN per MEC policy.
• Perform first piece validations to support manufacturing areas.
• Witness and validate fastener applications (torque, rivets, sealants).
• Support all QC areas including receiving/in-process inspection.
• May perform higher level inspections under supervision; exposure to 3D model aided inspection.
• Interface with suppliers and internal customers.
• May perform Source Inspections at supplier facilities.
