Job summary

The Marvin Group, a defense contractor with multiple operating units in Southern California, seeks a QC Inspector to ensure conformance to MEC requirements and contractual obligations. You will document inspection results in SAP, collaborate with the quality team, and help maintain high product standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on inspection of components, assemblies, and fasteners, with potential higher-level duties under supervision and basic exposure to GD&T.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of QC inspector experience.
• GD&T or ASQ topics certs are a plus.
• Quality certs (CSUDH QA courses) a plus.
• Basic blueprint reading and tolerance knowledge.
• Strong communication, math, and team-work skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent inspections to MEC standards and contractual obligations.
• Inspect mechanical assemblies, soldering, and paint finishes per engineering specs.
• Review NDT and supplier documentation per MEC PO.
• Generate inspection reports per MEC policy.
• Identify non-conforming material and create QN per MEC policy.
• Conduct first piece validations with manufacturing areas.
• Witness and validate fastener applications (torque, rivets, sealants).
• Support Receiving and In-Process Inspection teams.
