Job summary

Apollopros is seeking a QUALITY INSPECTOR 2 in Newport News, VA, on a contract basis, offering $24.00 - $30.00 per hour. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or 4 years of related experience.
• Experience performing visual testing and magnetic particle testing is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs required inspections and nondestructive tests (UT, MT, PT, visual, dimensional, load tests, etc.) on mechanical, electrical or structural components to ensure conformance with quality requirements for Naval reactor plants and related systems.
• Inspections vary from close tolerance dimensional checks to general surveillance of work in progress.
• Has authority to halt work if necessary and decides on measurement equipment to use.
