Insight Global is seeking an NDT Inspector II to support our federal client in Newport News, VA. You will perform inspections, read shipyard drawings, evaluate defects, and prepare reports while collaborating with QA and production teams during Navy vessel maintenance and repair.
The candidate must have NDT Level II certifications (VT/MT required, PT a plus), 3+ years in NDT/QA or shipyard supervision, and be able to obtain company NDT qualifications within 90 days.
High School Diploma, Trade School, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of related NDT, QA, or shipyard structural supervisory experience.
Current NDT Level II certifications (VT and MT a must, PT a plus).
Ability to obtain company NDT qualifications within 90 days of hire.
Working knowledge of NAVSEA Standard Items MIL-STD-271 and MIL-STD-1689.
Ability to read and interpret NAVSEA drawings and technical documentation.
Experience working in a shipyard, naval maintenance, or marine industrial environment.
Ability to work effectively with QA teams, inspectors, and production personnel.

The compensation for this position ranges between $30-$40/hr depending on experience, and the hours are Monday through Friday, 6 am - 2:30 pm.
