Job summary

Trident Maritime Systems is seeking an NDT Inspector II in New Orleans to ensure NAVSEA, NNS, and Trident QA standards are met through precise inspection and documentation. The role covers VT, MT, PT, and UT across ship structures and modular fabrication, supporting CVN, VCS/ORP, and DDG programs.

The position requires strong self-leadership, accountability, and the ability to work across shipyard projects, production, and workshops. Flexible shifts and a focus on quality readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of NDT experience in shipyard or heavy industry.
• NDT Level II VT certification or ability to obtain; MT and UT experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols.
• Familiarity with NAVSEA/NNS documentation and OQE practices.
• Proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform VT, MT, PT, and UT inspections per NAVSEA/NNS standards.
• Review procedures, standards, and drawings for accuracy.
• Document results and maintain records per NAVSEA/NNS.
• Support QA during unit completion and production.
• Coordinate with QA/QC and production teams to ensure readiness.
• Maintain equipment calibration and certifications.
• Uphold Trident QA procedures and safety requirements.
