Senior Quality Inspector

Scottsdale, AZ

Contract Position

$20.62-$25.62/Hour

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

1. Inspect parts and materials to ensure compliance with specified requirements, evaluate defects in real time, and document quality assurance findings and corrective actions.
2. Prepare and maintain QA documentation in accordance with internal standards and customer requirements.
3. Verify the implementation of corrective actions and confirm rework meets standards.
4. Interface with internal teams to support quality assurance efforts and ensure product integrity throughout the production process.

Qualifications:

1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
2. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of directly related quality inspection experience.
3. Certifications (may be required): J-STD-001, IPC-610, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750, X-Ray qualification.
4. Technical Knowledge:
   1. Proficiency in interpreting material requirements, fabrication methods, and manufacturability concepts.
   2. Experience using CAD tools such as Pro-E/Creo or SolidWorks.
   3. Familiarity with design documentation standards including ASME Y14.5M and GD&T.
   4. Understanding of basic mechanical stress principles including structural, thermal, and tolerance analysis.
