Job Profile

Position Overview

As a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist within PNC's Technology - Retail Lending Core Service organization, based in Illinois, you will be responsible for leading quality assurance processes in software development projects. This is a remote position, and work may be performed from a quiet, confidential space in a home location, approved by PNC. Note that this position may not be available in all geographic locations.

Software Quality Engineering (SQE) ensures that the end-product meets customer expectations and is fit for its intended purpose. A SQE professional must understand software development methodologies, quality assurance processes, testing automation, and testing techniques.

PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead reviews and tests of software systems and products to verify compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with software developers to resolve issues of non-compliance through system modifications, reconfigurations, or workarounds. Develop test scenarios for various testing phases.
  • Plan and estimate quality assurance support for new products and features. Conduct audits and reviews.
  • Monitor adherence to quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle. Evaluate the effectiveness of quality assurance tools and processes.
  • Track quality metrics such as defect density and open defect counts. Oversee testing and inspection teams to ensure compliance with specifications.
Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should demonstrate relevant knowledge, skills, and experience, including:

  • Preferred Skills: Analytical Thinking, Controls Testing, Corporate Governance, Quality Assurance (QA), Software Testing, Test Case Development, Usability Testing
  • Core Competencies: Attention to Detail, Analytical Thinking, Influencing, Process Management, Software Development Life Cycle, Software Quality Assurance and Testing, Technical Documentation Management
  • Work Experience: Typically 3+ years of relevant industry experience, with a university/college degree or equivalent experience. Certifications are desirable.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Certifications and Licenses: None required.
Additional Information

Salary range is $55,000 - $117,600, depending on experience, location, and performance. This role is incentive eligible. The application window is typically open for two business days from 05/12/2025.
