We value deep underwriting domain knowledge, strong SQL skills, and the ability to shape automated tests. This is a senior IC role emphasizing judgment with supportive tooling rather than pure automation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in life insurance, with substantial underwriting experience.
• Hands-on with underwriting rules engines or decisioning platforms (e.g., AURA, Magnum, FAST).
• SQL skills for independent data outcome verification.
• Experience writing structured test cases, acceptance criteria, and defending quality judgments.

Responsibilities

• Own test strategy and quality signals for underwriting decisions and risk classification.
• Design test scenarios reflecting underwriting complexity and edge cases.
• Validate rules engine behavior across releases and regression test outcomes.
• Translate requirements into testable criteria with underwriters, actuaries, and product.
