Job summary

New York Life is seeking a Senior Associate, Quality Engineer to help build automation-first quality practices across Wealth Management technology platforms. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who can code, understand the business, challenge designs, and use AI-enabled tooling to improve how quality is built into software from the first requirement through production release.

You will work across advisor, client, account, portfolio, transaction, data, integration, and reporting

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on quality engineering or SDET experience in financial services or related field.
• Strong coding ability in Python/Java/JavaScript/TypeScript and CI/CD
• Experience building automated tests with modern frameworks and API testing

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites across APIs, UI, integration, and data workflows.
• Write clean, maintainable automation code using reusable libraries and mocks.
• Use GenAI-enabled tools to accelerate test design and coverage analysis.
• Partner with engineers to review unit test strategy and test results before deployment.
• Build automated quality gates into CI/CD pipelines and create dashboards showing quality health.
