Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space seeks a quality engineering professional to apply quality principles across design, materials, production control and product evaluation for make or buy products. You will perform technical evaluations and collaborate with program teams to ensure compliance and drive improvements.

The role involves product failure investigations, corrective/preventive actions, and coordination with suppliers to enhance reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline (engineering or related) or Master’s degree.
• Knowledge of manufacturing/quality processes and documentation.
• Ability to interpret drawings, work instructions, schematics, and specifications.
• Ability to drive robust corrective actions and root cause analysis.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Apply quality principles across design, material, production control, and product evaluation areas.
• Perform technical evaluations of requirements, specs, models, drawings and procedures.
• Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing and customers on quality issues.
• Conduct product failure investigations and corrective/preventive actions.
• Develop strategies to improve internal and supplier performance and productivity.
