Job summary

ARES Corporation seeks a Sr. Quality Engineer to provide quality assurance oversight for a NASA instrument at GSFC in Greenbelt, MD. The role requires coordinating with NASA and internal teams, assessing risks, and ensuring compliance with MAR and project requirements.

The candidate will review procedures, support inspections, and participate in problem resolution and audits while maintaining strong communication with customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of directly related quality or engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain NASA and IPC workmanship certifications.
• Current holders of the NASA certifications are strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality assurance oversight for NASA instrument during integration and test at GSFC.
• Review key contract deliverables and monitor compliance to plan and procedures.
• Lead project milestone reviews, peer reviews, and provide NASA assurance on readiness.
• Coordinate nonconformance investigations and track corrective actions.
• Prepare and participate in MRB/CCB/FRB and design reviews.
• Provide regular reporting to NASA and other customers.
