Star Catcher Industries, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to support the development of space-to-space power beaming spacecraft and the Star Catcher Network.

You will lead QMS implementation, audits, and CAPA programs to ensure flight quality and safety. You will collaborate across engineering and operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001, NCR handling, and non-conformance resolution.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering (or related field).
• 7+ years of quality engineering in aerospace/space industry.
• Strong working knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 standards.
• Hands-on experience with root cause analysis methodologies (5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA, CAPA).
• Direct experience with non-conformance processing (NCR), dispositioning, and engineering change controls (ECR).

Aufgaben

• Implement and uphold QMS processes following the PDCA cycle across flight projects and R&D efforts.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 quality standards, SOPs, and customer requirements.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits to evaluate QMS performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop, implement, and maintain processes to control quality and safety.
• Document, evaluate, and manage NCRs for issues identified internally, at suppliers, or by customers.
• Facilitate containment actions, stop-work orders, and disposition plans (Rework, Repair, Scrap, Use As-Is).
• Lead RCA investigations using 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, or Fault Tree Analysis.
• Establish CAPA plans to eliminate recurring non-conformances.
• Review ECRs and participate in ERB to evaluate impact on quality and flight safety.
• Support FMEA to mitigate hardware and process risks.
• Maintain configuration management for identity and traceability.
• Oversee calibration control systems for measurement/test equipment used on flight builds.
• Support supplier quality evaluations and counterfeit parts prevention controls.
• Keep operation teams aware of quality policies and safety standards.
