Job summary

ARES seeks an experienced Sr. Quality Engineer to provide quality assurance oversight for a Goddard Space Flight Center instrument being manufactured at GSFC.

The role requires leadership, NASA liaison skills, and the ability to communicate mission issues and risks with internal and external customers. The position involves working closely with NASA teams in a fast-paced environment, performing surveillance, audits, and reviews across the full spectrum of mission development activities and

Qualifications

• 7+ years of directly related quality or engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain/maintain NASA and IPC workmanship certifications (J-STD-100, NASA-STD-8739.4 CCH, NASA-Std-8739.1A Polymeric Inspection).

Responsibilities

• Provide quality assurance oversight for the instrument during integration and test at GSFC.
• Review key contract deliverables and monitor compliance to plan and procedures.
• Support project milestone reviews, peer reviews, and project reviews for NASA readiness.
• Communicate and resolve noncompliance issues and risks; support MRB/CCB/FRB and design reviews.
• Prepare weekly/monthly reporting to the customer and assist in presentations.
