Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Principal Quality Engineer on-site in Baltimore, MD for the second shift. You will develop and maintain quality systems, partner with engineering and manufacturing, and lead audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications include a STEM degree with 5+ years in QA or related fields, strong data analytics, mentoring experience, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

B.S. in a related STEM field with 5+ years in QA or manufacturing quality roles.
MS in a related STEM field with 3+ years in QA or manufacturing.
PhD in a related STEM field with 1+ year in quality assurance.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain quality control systems and protocols.
Partner with engineering and manufacturing to uphold quality standards.
Audit quality systems and drive corrective actions for improvements.
Review contracts and drawings against standards (ISO 9000, AS9102, MIL, IPC).
Interface with production floor and communicate with stakeholders.
Define quality characteristics and control plans; update work instructions.
Manage nonconformances and lead cross-functional containment.
