Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Senior Quality Control Engineer to lead quality assurance and control across CUAS components and systems. You will define metrics, methods, and inspection gates, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure robust manufacturing processes and rapid issue resolution.

You will drive CAPA, MRB, and PPAP activities, apply advanced problem-solving tools, and support DNQ/DFM/DFA considerations to improve product quality and reliability throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Minimum 8–12 years of related experience with DMAIC, FMEA, APQP, SPC, Gage R&R, and lean manufacturing.
• Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9102 standards and audits.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control plans for CUAS components and systems.
• Define quality metrics, testing methodologies, and inspection procedures.
• Coordinate with Quality Technicians and inspectors; define inspection gates.
• Lead MRB process, CAPA, and corrective actions; drive data-based disposition decisions.
• Perform risk assessments, FMEA, and DFMEA to mitigate design and process risks.
• Participate in PRR, APQP, PPAP; ensure DFM/DFA considerations are incorporated.
• Collaborate with Engineering for quality requirements and audits; drive continuous improvement.
