Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior Quality Engineer to own the quality strategy for Payments Acceptance. You will build automated guardrails in CI/CD, architect high-concurrency tests, and ensure peak-period stability. You will integrate AI-assisted tools and develop emulators for payment networks while implementing telemetry with Prometheus and Grafana.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in quality engineering and performance testing for high-throughput systems.
• Hands-on test suites in Java, Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Strong REST API testing and microservices validation.
• Experience running large-scale load/stress tests with JMeter/Locust/Gatling/k6.
• Embedded automated quality gates in CI/CD, including GitHub Actions and GitOps.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS in AWS.
• Experience testing event-driven architectures (Kafka/SQS).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases under load.
• Nice-to-have: payments security domain and PCI-DSS/SOC2.

Responsibilities

• Own the overarching quality strategy for Payments Acceptance.
• Build automated guardrails into pipelines for end-to-end validation.
• Architect and run high-concurrency load, stress, and latency tests.
• Ensure payment platforms do not drop transactions or degrade latency during peak periods.
• Integrate AI-assisted testing tools and synthetic data generation workflows.
• Build high-performance emulators for card networks and partner integrations.
• Implement telemetry-driven test environments using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Monitor system behavior under load and drive blameless post-mortems.
• Partner with feature teams to build automated testing Golden Paths.
• Mentor team members on quality engineering best practices.
