Very Good Security, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer, Payments Quality, to own and enforce world-class quality across our core payment systems.

You will build AI-assisted testing strategies, automate regression suites, and ensure reliability at scale. You'll collaborate with feature teams to embed automated quality gates into CI/CD, leverage observability tools, and ensure zero downtime and accuracy in payments infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering focused on quality engineering and performance testing.
• Hands-on experience building automated test suites in Java, Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Experience designing and running high-concurrency load tests at scale.
• Experience embedding automated quality gates in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitOps).
• Experience testing event-driven architectures (Kafka, SQS) and databases.

Responsibilities

• Architect and embed quality benchmarks across Payments Acceptance.
• Drive high-concurrency load, stress, and latency testing.
• Pioneer AI-native software engineering focused on quality.
• Implement telemetry-driven test environments and observability.
• Mentor teams and build Golden Paths for automated testing.
