Job summary

Unknown company is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to provide oversight for the mechanical, welding, and piping scope on a long-duration Pecos, Texas project. You will ensure the Project Quality Plan and QMS are implemented and verified across all phases.

Responsibilities include auditing, root-cause analyses, training, and coordinating with field engineering, supply chain, and resident engineering. Some travel may be required; a strong ISO 9001 background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field; 8–10 years of relevant experience (or 12–14 years across engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and startup).
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification required; experience with ISO 9001 criteria.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, piping, welding, NDE, and codes (ASME B31.1/B31.3, BPVC Sections I, V, VIII, IX) and QA practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality oversight for mechanical, welding, and piping scope; maintain and verify the Project Quality Management System (PQM) and QMS.
• Verify materials, workmanship, and code requirements; review project schedules for PQP compliance.
• Lead corrective actions (CLCA) and root-cause analyses to prevent recurrence.
• Develop project-specific quality metrics; lead audits and training; promote safety and quality culture.
• Support field engineering, supply chain, and resident engineering; travel as needed.
