Job summary

Elite Executive Solutions is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Mechanical QA/QC Manager to oversee quality assurance, quality control, and field inspection activities for a leading mechanical construction organization.

Dallas is the preferred home base, but qualified candidates may operate from multiple locations in Texas or Arizona with travel to project sites as required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of mechanical construction, plumbing, piping, HVAC inspection or QA/QC experience.
• Strong field inspection experience with commercial, institutional, healthcare, industrial, or mission-critical mechanical systems.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, shop drawings, submittals, coordination drawings and codes.
• Familiarity with IMC, IPC, UPC, UMC, NFPA standards and local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific mechanical QA/QC plans, inspection procedures, and testing requirements.
• Perform field inspections of plumbing, piping, HVAC, and related mechanical system installations.
• Verify installations comply with drawings, specs, codes, manufacturer requirements, and project standards.
• Inspect rough-in work, equipment installation, system completion, testing, startup, commissioning, and turnover.
• Monitor construction activities to identify deficiencies, nonconforming work, and quality concerns.
• Issue and track inspection reports, punch-lists, nonconformances, corrective actions, and turnover docs.
• Review plans, specifications, submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and directives.
• Coordinate inspections with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, engineers, owners, and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Witness pressure testing, flushing, startup, commissioning, and system acceptance.
• Ensure inspections and tests are completed and documented before systems are concealed or operated.
• Maintain QA/QC records including reports, deficiency logs, and turnover packages.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective-action planning for quality issues.
• Provide field teams with guidance on mechanical codes and project standards.
• Participate in preconstruction and coordination meetings and project closeouts.
• Promote accountability, craftsmanship, code compliance, and continuous improvement.
