Job summary

Verto People is seeking a Piping QA Inspector for a Texas power generation project. You will represent the owner, overseeing piping inspection, testing, and welding procedure compliance while coordinating with construction teams to resolve quality issues.

The role requires extensive piping inspection experience, a current CWI certification, and strong knowledge of ASME B31.1, B31.3, and Section IX. NDE Level II qualifications are advantageous and familiarity with digital construction

Qualifications

• At least seven years of piping inspection experience in power or process plants.
• Current CWI certification.
• Working knowledge of ASME B31.1, B31.3 and Section IX.
• Experience reviewing inspection documents and keeping quality records.
• A relevant technical qualification or equivalent field experience.

Responsibilities

• Verify required non-destructive examination coverage and review test results.
• Check welder qualifications and compliance with approved welding procedures.
• Witness hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests.
• Verify material traceability and positive material identification records.
• Inspect pipe supports, spring hangers and cold-pull arrangements.
• Raise nonconformance reports and verify corrective actions through to closure.

Representing the owner, you’ll oversee piping inspection and testing, verify welding compliance and work with construction teams to resolve quality issues.

Requirements

• At least seven years of piping inspection experience within power or process plants.
• Current CWI certification.
• Working knowledge of ASME B31.1, B31.3 and Section IX.
• Confidence reviewing inspection documentation and maintaining accurate quality records.
• A relevant technical qualification or equivalent field experience.

NDE Level II qualifications, previous owner-side inspection experience and OSHA 30 would be advantageous, alongside familiarity with digital construction documentation tools.
