Job summary

Storable Marine seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to drive quality across our maritime software platform. You will partner with product, engineering, and QA to define test strategies, implement automation, and validate APIs and data, leveraging AI-assisted tools to accelerate testing and release readiness.

This hands-on role emphasizes deep system understanding, risk-based validation, and mentorship of junior engineers within an Agile Marine team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on QA/quality engineering experience.
• Proven test strategy, regression planning, and risk-based validation.
• Experience building automated tests with modern frameworks.
• Experience validating APIs, integrations, and data workflows.
• SQL proficiency to investigate and validate data.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and version control workflows.
• Experience with AI-assisted QA tools is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and clear communication skills.
• Able to work on-site in the United States (TN) 3 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement test strategies to improve product quality.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and QA to define testable user stories.
• Build and maintain automated tests for API and UI layers.
• Validate data integrity and service interactions using SQL queries.
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate planning, debugging, and reporting.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to quality practice improvements.
• Participate in stand-ups, retrospectives, and design reviews.
• Continuously evaluate tools and workflows to boost productivity.
