Job summary

Storable Marine seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to ensure reliability and usability of the Marine software platform. You will lead test strategy, build automation, validate APIs and data, and guide the team toward higher quality outcomes.

You will work closely with product, engineering, and stakeholders in an Agile environment, mentoring peers and applying AI-assisted tooling to accelerate quality assurance and product delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering experience.
• Strong test strategy, exploratory testing, and risk-based validation.
• Experience building or maintaining automated tests with at least one framework.
• Experience validating APIs, integrations, data, and critical workflows.
• Ability to use SQL for data validation and debugging.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment validation.
• Practical use of AI-assisted tools in QA workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to mentor other engineers on QA practices.
• Must be able to work on-site at Seattle, WA three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement test strategies across manual and automated testing.
• Validate APIs, data, and service contracts; ensure release readiness.
• Build and maintain automated tests using Cypress, Selenium, TestNG, or similar.
• Query databases with SQL to troubleshoot data issues.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to refine requirements.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and improve automation coverage.
• Utilize AI tools to accelerate testing planning and execution.
• Participate in stand-ups, retrospectives, and design reviews.
