Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. seeks an Analyst Quality Engineer to join the Manufacturing Operations team onsite in Jackson, TN. You’ll influence quality across raw, in-process and finished goods, lead root-cause analysis, and drive ISO9000 compliance and PPAP activities.

You will define quality plans, monitor inspections, coordinate with suppliers, and mentor teams in gaging, GD&T, and continuous improvement using SPC, FMEA, DOE, and Lean methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years applicable experience in quality engineering or manufacturing.
• Knowledge of gaging and inspection techniques, including GD&T.
• Proficient in SPC, FMEA, DOE, 8D, TQM, Lean and PPAP methodologies.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with good decision-making.
• Ability to lead quality initiatives and communicate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Fully support and comply with SFS objectives and projects.
• Assist engineering in defining specs for raw, in-process and finished goods.
• Communicate quality standards to manufacturing and quality auditors.
• Develop and implement D&IM FMEA for processes.
• Perform PPAPs per SQA-015 Quality Book.
• Define and monitor quality plans for incoming, in-process, and finished goods inspections.
• Perform MSAs and monitor quality metrics on the production floor.
• Coordinate quality issues and establish countermeasures with stakeholders.
• Maintain IMDS and monitor supplier quality; lead sorting activities.
• Drive root-cause corrective actions for customer and supplier quality issues.
• Ensure ISO requirements and related paperwork are correctly handled.
