Job summary

Protolabs offers a Sr Quality Engineer role at the Plymouth facility in the United States. You will provide quality leadership to ensure products meet requirements, lead investigations, and support continuous improvement teams across engineering and manufacturing.

The role requires a BS in Engineering and 7+ years in quality in manufacturing, with expertise in ISO 9001/13485/AS9100 and statistical methods. On-site work with a comprehensive rewards package is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical).
• 7+ years of experience as a quality engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in ISO 9001, 13485 and AS9100.

Responsibilities

• Provide Quality Assurance leadership in support of manufacturing and analyze the cost of poor quality.
• Define QC inspection procedures and specify/testing equipment.
• Lead continuous improvement activities including FMEA, kaizens, Lean, and DMAIC methodology.
• Collaborate with Engineering to characterize processes and establish control plans.
• Investigate post-market quality, customer complaints, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead audits (internal, external, customer) and support supplier qualification.
