Job summary

PLP is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to develop and coordinate QA programs across corporate QA, ISO 9001, and customer feedback systems. You will lead QA activities, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives for PLP facilities and supplier networks.

The role requires a BS in a technical field, 5+ years in QA/manufacturing, and travel availability; ASQ is a plus. This position is based in the United States with standard office hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in technical curriculum required, with a Quality Engineering degree preferred.
• Minimum five years of hands‑on experience in a quality assurance/manufacturing environment with ISO 9001 exposure.
• ASQ Quality Engineering Certification is desired but not required.
• Ability to use computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with MiniTab or other statistical analysis software preferred.
• Must be able to read blueprints and travel.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and administer quality assurance/control systems.
• Perform analysis of testing and inspection procedures for adequacy and compliance.
• Use metrology and statistical methods to diagnose and correct quality practices.
• Review proposals for projects and identify quality concerns or exceptions.
• Act as QA representative on PLP project teams to ensure inspections, testing, and documentation.
• Conduct supplier quality system audits and drive improvements with key suppliers.
• Maintain supplier risk assessment and inspection level programs.
• Support continuous improvement using Lean techniques.
