Job summary

Dana Incorporated is seeking a Quality Engineer to develop and oversee quality systems aligned with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001, and to lead APQP activities across product launches and changes.

You will drive root-cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure product quality and process efficiency, mentoring teammates and promoting a culture of quality throughout the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in quality or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC and Control Plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee quality systems and documentation per IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and customer requirements.
• Ensure robust quality planning during product launches and engineering changes.
• Lead investigations into product and process non-conformances using 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions in a timely manner.
• Coordinate APQP deliverables including FMEA, Control Plans and PPAP submissions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product and process readiness.
• Monitor KPIs like scrap, complaints and audit findings; drive improvements.
• Use statistics to identify trends and lead continuous improvement projects.
• Provide technical guidance to Quality Engineers and Technicians.
