Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Memphis, TN seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to drive quality across the product lifecycle. You will lead quality systems, perform audits, and partner with cross-functional teams to prevent defects and improve customer satisfaction.

You will apply Lean, Six Sigma, and data analytics to identify trends, implement corrective actions, and support new product introductions while building quality capability across manufacturing and supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing or assembly environments.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001; IATF experience a plus.
• Expertise in root cause analysis tools (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone).
• Experience with SPC, FMEA, and control plans.
• CQE or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of quality management systems aligned with ISO standards.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve quality issues.
• Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance and improvement.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate quality across the product lifecycle.
• Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and proactively address risks.
• Support new product introduction with strong quality planning.
• Lead training initiatives to strengthen quality awareness and capability.
• Investigate customer concerns and deliver timely, effective resolutions.
