Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT, is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer for the Hot Section Module Center (HSMC) South to support the production and development of turbine airfoils. You will provide technical support to inspection staff and shop floor operations, and evaluate processes for compliance.

Responsibilities include review of work instructions, PARs, and FAI, data analysis of quality nonconformances, and supporting audits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM or related field and 5+ years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or related environment.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiar with inspection tooling and techniques.
AS9100 knowledge and lean manufacturing principles preferred.
ASQ/CQE certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to the inspection and manufacturing teams; interface with shop floor operators and inspection staff.
Evaluate manufacturing processes and hardware to determine compliance with applicable requirements.
Review and approve work instructions, PARs, and first article inspections (FAI).
Analyze quality nonconformances and perform root-cause investigations; drive corrective actions and track effectiveness.
Assist with third-party and customer quality audits and product escape investigations.
Prepare quality presentations for a technical audience.
