Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an Engineer II for the Hot Section Engineering Support to Operations team in East Hartford, CT. You will assist turbine airfoil production, drive quality enhancements, and manage engineering changes with cross-functional teams.

You will work on production support, corrective actions, and producibility improvements, while collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality parts for military and commercial programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or related) with 2+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Advanced degree is a plus and can substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations, quality, procurement, and engineering SMEs to investigate quality events and implement corrective actions.
• Develop Class II engineering change packages using Pro-Cert to improve quality, cost, and producibility.
• Support cost of Poor Quality initiatives and lead production improvement efforts.
• Coordinate supplier support activities and close out inquiries and investigations.
• Present technical recommendations to management and enable CIPT progression where applicable.
