Job summary

Lightship is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to support the production of a luxury all-electric recreational vehicle. You will develop quality standards, lead investigations, and drive continuous improvement while managing supplier quality across global partners.

The role requires travel up to 20% and strong cross-functional collaboration. You will work with manufacturing, engineering and supply chain to ensure products meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements, with

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience across engineering, manufacturing, service and suppliers.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with Lightship teams and external partners.
• Advanced knowledge of PPAP/APQP, SPC, GD&T and Lean Manufacturing and their practical application to improve quality and reduce cost.

Responsibilities

• Develop quality standards, product quality plans and supplier quality requirements.
• Lead investigations and drive corrective actions using root cause analysis.
• Support manufacturing equipment development, controls and test plans addressing risks identified in FMEA.
• Coordinate process capability analyses to verify supplier and process capability against specs.
• Provide leadership in MRB, change control, and line-side sorting/rework instruction development.
• Travel up to 20% to supplier sites and cross-functional teams as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering, design and supply chain to resolve supplier quality issues.
