Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Quality Engineer for Clifton and Newark bakeries. The role champions the Quality team, mentoring staff to protect product integrity on the production floor with a focus on final product quality.

Requirements include a B.S. in Food Science or Microbiology, 10+ years bakery‑related experience, and desirable HACCP/PCQI/SQF credentials. Leadership and data‑driven improvement skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field.
• 10+ years in a food manufacturing environment (bakery preferred).
• HACCP, PCQI, or SQF Practitioner certification desirable.
• Leadership: proven track record of managing a small team.
• Experience with statistical modeling, reporting, data analysis and Lean/Kaizen.

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality Control (QC) activities and oversee auditors.
• Develop and present daily/weekly/monthly quality metrics and reports.
• Coordinate audits and third‑party inspections at the bakery.
• Manage the Hold and Release process for non‑conforming products.
• Drive continuous improvement using SPC and data analysis.
