Job summary

Indiana Automotive Fasteners (IAF) is seeking a Quality Engineer to uphold product and process quality. This role focuses on nonconformance management, data-driven problem solving, and cross-functional leadership to drive continuous improvement on the manufacturing floor.

You will engage with customers and suppliers to ensure quality standards, maintain ISO/TS certifications, and support advancement of the quality management system in a fast-paced environment in Greenfield, IN.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 3 years in a quality or manufacturing environment with a technical product.
• Automotive industry experience preferred.
• Ability to read customer/supplier/internal drawings; familiarity with GD&T.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet quality objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develops and attains department and personal quality goals.
• Maintains the nonconformance system and communicates issues to drive containment and root-cause analysis.
• Analyzes data to visualize problems and support machine/ manufacturing floor quality.
• Leads improvement efforts and advises on nonconformities and exceptions.
• Tours the plant to monitor quality activity and support continuous improvement.
• Leads quality-related activities with Sales, Purchasing and other groups.
