Job summary

Lake Michigan Credit Union is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer III for a fully remote role in the United States. You will own the test automation framework, define test strategy, and partner with engineers and product owners to drive quality upstream.

You will design quality gates in CI/CD, mentor junior QA engineers, and lead improvements across tooling and processes while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on test automation and ownership of a test framework
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in CIS/CS or related field
• Expertise in test automation across SDLC and CI/CD
• Strong knowledge of functional, API, performance, security, and data validation testing
• Experience leading quality initiatives within Agile environments
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted testing tools and responsible adoption of AI-driven QA solutions

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the test automation framework and architecture.
• Define the test strategy and risk model for complex cross-system work including third-party integrations.
• Collaborate with development to shape acceptance criteria before build begins.
• Design and maintain quality gates in the CI/CD pipeline with automated, performance, and security testing.
• Evaluate QA processes and tooling and lead improvements to reduce defects.
• Mentor Quality Engineers and developers on automation and quality practices.
• Adhere to and champion company values and necessary regulatory compliance.
