Lake Michigan Credit Union seeks a Quality Engineer I to support automated testing of our software within an Agile team. You will learn the automation framework, participate in the delivery pipeline, and grow toward independent test coverage of a product area under guidance from senior engineers.

You’ll write and maintain automated tests, run manual and exploratory tests, document defects with clear reproduce steps, and assist in test data preparation and environment setup, while contributing to

Qualifications

• Foundational experience with programming/scripting, test automation, and software testing concepts across the development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and SQL-based data validation.
• Experience or exposure to test automation tools and frameworks, including API, browser, and AI-driven testing solutions.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly, including AI-assisted tools.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain automated tests within the established framework and patterns.
• Submit test code through version control, participate in PR reviews, and act on feedback.
• Execute manual, exploratory, and regression testing against acceptance criteria.
• Convert repeatable checks into automated coverage as skills develop.
• Identify, document, and reproduce defects with clear reproduction steps and logs.
• Monitor automated test runs in the CI/CD pipeline and triage failures.
