Job summary

Hiscox USA is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer in Atlanta, GA. The role involves hands-on automation using Java, Playwright, and Cucumber, with a focus on in-sprint testing, test readiness, and quality advocacy.

You will drive automation design, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and partner with product owners and developers to raise quality across the SDLC. Hybrid role in the office 2–3 days a week.

Qualifications

• Must have strong automation background with Java-based test design.
• Experience with in-sprint testing, risk-based testing and shift-left practices.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD and cloud-native testing concepts.
• Familiarity with insurance/finance domains is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in in-sprint testing to validate stories before sprint end.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure test readiness across UI/API/integration.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using Java, Playwright and Cucumber.
• Champion quality practices and monitor key quality indicators.
