Hiscox in Atlanta, GA, seeks a Principal Quality Engineer to advance automation and AI-driven testing across UI, API, and integration layers. You will design scalable frameworks, drive testability, and lead cross‑functional teams to improve quality throughout the SDLC.

The role emphasizes a strong automation-first mindset, collaboration with Scrum teams, and the use of AI for test generation, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics. This is a hybrid position with two office days per week.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software test automation or software engineering.
• 5+ years in a principal or lead role.
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript, Playwright, and Cucumber.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps‑aligned QA workflows.
• Experience designing automation frameworks from scratch and scaling them across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation framework design, implementation, and evolution for UI, API, integration, and regression testing.
• Champion automation standards, test data management, and service virtualization.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Architecture, and Security to embed testing early in the lifecycle.
