Job summary

WCIRB California seeks a Quality Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated test strategies ensuring high-quality software across platforms. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in .NET and C#.
• Hands-on experience in Visual Studio.
• Experience in testing APIs with SoapUI/Postman/Fiddler.
• Experience in .NET technologies, Azure DevOps, and modern automation frameworks (Playwright/Cypress/Selenium).
• Experience in NUnit/XUnit/MSTest.
• Knowledge of SOLID, TDD, iterative lifecycle processes.
• Experience in cloud testing, microservice architectures, CI/CD, and Azure environments.
• SQL for database testing and data validation.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills and passion for quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated test solutions using Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium.
• Analyze user stories to create comprehensive automated tests (functional, system, integration, regression).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and design test solutions, resolve defects, and test code changes.
• Collaborate with Business and QA Analysts to understand coverage, data, and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze and validate non-functional requirements (load, performance, security).
• Assist in CI/CD and automation pipelines, integrating automated tests.
• Generate test reports/dashboards and document defects and trends.
• Work with development, product, and program management to meet testing requirements.
• Continuously improve software testing methodologies and processes.
