Job summary

Spectrolab, Inc., a Boeing subsidiary located in Sylmar, California, seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to lead internal and customer-facing audits and drive quality improvements across illumination products. You will contribute to design reviews, implement corrective actions, and monitor process capability in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

The role requires deep experience in QMS, RCCA, and NCR processes, with a focus on compliance to AS9100 and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of Quality Management Systems (QMS) experience.
• 5+ years of quality inspection and/or auditing experience.
• 5+ years of RCCA and NCR process experience.
• Preferred: Certified AS9100 Lead Auditor.

Responsibilities

• Lead auditor for internal audits and primary focal for 3rd party AS9100 and customer audits.
• Quality Engineer for Illumination Products.
• Contribute to project design teams with quality engineering input.
• Read and interpret drawings and technical documents; ensure contract quality requirements are met.
• Analyze non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Perform benchmarking and advanced analysis to ensure process capability.
• Develop quality metrics and certification plans to meet requirements.
• Lead reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into designs.
