Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Quality Engineer to join the Operations team, focusing on establishing and maintaining quality systems across development and production environments.

You will review manufacturing documents, participate in design reviews, and drive improvements to ensure safety and reliability in spaceflight hardware. Shift flexibility and relocation support are available as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. in Engineering/Science.
• 5+ years’ proven experience in a Quality Engineer role in a production environment.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 QM System and/or related quality systems and programs.
• Ability to support manufacturing schedules and overtime on as needed basis.
• Desired: American Society of Quality, certification would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, maintain, and enforce quality system processes that support products in development and production environments
• Measure, analyze, and improve quality system performance consistent with organization quality goals
• Review and approve manufacturing build documents including work orders and nonconformance records.
• Perform periodic audits of the application of our quality system in accordance with AS9100
• Participate in engineering design reviews and make recommendations to improve the quality and manufacturability of new designs
• Recommend and improve initiatives and/or changes that will improve product and system quality
• Provide quality assurance domain expertise to inspection, manufacturing, and test for the Manufacturing team
• Collaborate with internal and external customers on quality related concerns; develop and present training materials to build quality awareness.
