Job summary

Blue Origin Space Coast, FL is seeking an Engineer - Quality III to join the Operations quality team. You will develop, implement, and maintain quality systems across manufacturing, perform audits, and support production to ensure products meet requirements.

Ideal candidate has a BS in engineering/science and 5+ years' quality engineering experience, with AS9100/ISO9000 knowledge, IPC standards, and Six Sigma. On-site schedule Mon-Fri 8-5; overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. in Engineering/Science.
• 5+ years’ proven experience in a Quality Engineer role in a production environment.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 QM System and/or related quality systems and programs.
• Ability to support manufacturing schedules (A-Shift; Mon - Fri; 8am – 5pm) and overtime on as needed basis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems, processes, and procedures in compliance with AS9100, ISO9000, and other relevant standards.
• Conduct quality audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support manufacturing operations by providing quality expertise and ensuring products meet customer requirements.
• Analyze quality data and trends to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train and mentor team members on quality practices and procedures.
• Participate in new product development projects to ensure quality is integrated from the outset.
• Maintain documentation and records in accordance with quality system requirements.
