Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Quality Engineer to design, implement, and maintain quality systems across our production environment. You will lead audits, drive corrective actions, and ensure products meet stringent space-grade requirements.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor staff, and participate in new product development to embed quality from the start. This is an on-site position supporting our manufacturing operations in a fast-paced aerospace setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. in Engineering/Science.
• 5+ years’ proven experience in a Quality Engineer role in a production environment.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 QM System and/or related quality systems and programs.
• Ability to support manufacturing schedules (A-Shift; Mon - Fri; 7am-5pm) and overtime on as needed basis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems, processes, and procedures in compliance with AS9100, ISO9000, and other relevant standards.
• Conduct quality audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support manufacturing operations by providing quality expertise and ensuring products meet customer requirements.
• Analyze quality data and trends to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train and mentor team members on quality practices and procedures.
• Participate in new product development projects to ensure quality is integrated from the outset.
• Maintain documentation and records in accordance with quality system requirements.
