Job summary

Honeywell seeks a Senior Quality Engineer for its HSS business in Charlotte, NC, operating on a hybrid schedule. You will apply deep quality-engineering expertise to improve product and process performance, strengthen compliance, and enhance customer satisfaction.

You will partner with Engineering, Operations, Sourcing, Supplier Quality, and Product Management to identify risk and drive preventive actions across the product life cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Science, Technology, or related field.
• 7+ years of aerospace quality engineering or related regulated-industry experience.
• Experience with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Experience leading internal/external audits across multiple sites.
• Lead root cause investigations using 8D, 5 Why, fault-tree, Lean Six Sigma.
• Experience with quality metrics, statistics, and trend analysis.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to travel 20–30% domestically or internationally.
• Must meet US ITAR access requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality planning and execution for HSS products and processes.
• Ensure compliance with quality management systems and customer requirements.
• Lead root cause and CAPA activities using structured methods.
• Analyze quality data and translate findings into improvement plans.
• Facilitate risk assessments (FMEA, control plans).
• Set inspection, test, validation criteria with Engineering/Operations.
• Support audits and sustain audit readiness.
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve incoming quality.
• Communicate status, risk, containment and recovery plans clearly.
• Coach teams on quality tools and problem solving.
