Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer in Montclair, NJ. The role focuses on leading quality activities, driving corrective actions, and supporting audits in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate with engineering, operations, suppliers, and customers to drive improvements, interpret complex drawings, and maintain robust quality documentation. This position offers growth in a global aerospace/defense context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quality, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 4+ years of quality engineering experience in aerospace/defense or similar manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001 and related QMS.
• Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality engineering activities to ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.
• Drive root cause investigations, corrective actions, and non-conformance management processes.
• Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, test procedures, and technical documentation.
• Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
• Analyze quality data and recommend improvements using structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Ensure quality documentation is maintained accurately and in accordance with industry standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
• Provide guidance on quality requirements, compliance, and best practices.
