Job summary

Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies, LLC’s Kansas City National Security Campus seeks a Sr Mechanical Engineer to support advanced manufacturing processes, lead projects, and develop quality control functions for complex programs tied to national security.

You will mentor engineers, analyze data to drive design changes, and collaborate with design agencies to resolve intricate issues while ensuring product quality and productivity improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science from ABET accredited program required.
• 6+ years of relevant engineering experience required.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Regular and reliable attendance required.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
• Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management.

Responsibilities

• Provides engineering support for highly technical and advanced manufacturing processes.
• Plans projects and manages resources to meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Conducts R&D and writes technical reports for experiments addressing complex problems.
• Mentors lower-level engineers and establishes operating procedures for new products.
• Uses data to define, evaluate, and recommend design improvements and test equipment.

Education

Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited program in Engineering or Physics
