Engineered Plastic Components in the United States seeks a Senior Quality Engineer for automotive plastic injection molding operations. You will ensure compliance with customer requirements, IATF 16949 standards, and internal quality systems while driving continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include leading APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC activities, investigating customer concerns, and leading corrective actions to reduce defects and cost of quality.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of quality engineering experience in automotive manufacturing.
• 3+ years of plastic injection molding experience.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and AIAG Core Tools.
• Experience with OEM and Tier 1 automotive customers.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to support our automotive plastoc injection molding operations. This role is responsible gor ensuring compliance with customer requirements, IATF 16949 standards, and internal quality systems while driving continuous improvement, defect reduction, process capability improvements, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead quality engineering activities for production and new product launches.
• Support APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC activities.
• Investigate customer concerns and lead corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Drive process improvements to reduce defects, scrap, and cost of poor quality.
• Lead resolution of injection molding defects including flash, short shots, sink marks, weld lines, splay, and warpage.
• Support internal, customer, and third-party audits.
• Collaborate with production, Engineering, Maintenance, Tooling, and Suppliers to improve quality performance and process capability.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of quality engineerinh experience in automotive manufacturing.
• 3+ years of plastic injection molding experience.
• Strong knowledge of IATF, 16949 and AIAG Core Tools.
• Experience with GD&T, SPC, Cp/Cpk studies, and CMM measurement systems.
• Experience supporting OEM and Tier 1 automotive customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
• Experience with automotive interior plastic components and assemblies.

Work Authorization:

• Applicants must legally be authorized to work in the United States. We will NOT offer either current or future sponsorship of employment. Proof of work authorization will be required upon hire.

Classification:

Full–Time, Exempt

Salary Range:

$80-85,000, dependent upon experience.
